Annual Cultural Fiesta –‘Radiance 2016’ at theSKYworldschool, Panchkula
The Annual Cultural Fiesta, Radiance-2016 is a dedicated effort to harness & showcase the exuberant energy of the young & talented students of theSKYworldschool, Panchkula which was celebrated with fervor & zeal at Indradhanush Auditorium. Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, State Minister & MLA Panchkula was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Mrs. Latika Sharma, MLA Kalka was the guest of honor. Director-Principal Mrs. Santosh Bhandari along with the chief guest and Guest of Honor lit the lamp to commence the program. theSKYworldschool believes that every child is a star and it teaches a child to be what he longs & aspires to be: A star of tomorrow. The annual function showcased Alice’s journey who wanted nothing more than to touch the stars in the sky. A mother fairy guided Alice through her journey in the Skyland during which Alice comes across various situations & people and through this journey of exploration & reflection, she learns the profile attributes like inquiry, communication, knowledge, risk taking, care, open mindedness etc. which are necessary in order shine like a star. Alice’s journey was shown through an amalgamation of breathtaking performances by the kids. Gayatri Mantra recitation by the students to invoke the blessings of the Almighty left the audience spellbound and completely soaked in the presence of divinity. The tiny tots of Playway dressed up as farm animals presented a dance and their sweet innocent movements brought a smile on everyone’s face. Nursery students danced mesmerizingly while presenting a Chinese dance. LKG students presented a dance on the song ‘Let it go’ highlighting the importance of conveying the right messages in the most positive way. UKG students displayed their dancing acumen when they performed on Marathi folk song. Class I presented Rajasthani dance dressed in colorful attires. The beautifully dressed up children brought up the images of the Desert Land and its rich culture brilliantly well. What cannot be attained when you are imaginative, inquisitive and ready to explore things on your own? ‘Socho Na’ was a beautiful performance by Nursery that sends across this message to each one. Zumba performance by students of classes II & III highlighted the importance of being fit and was much appreciated by the audience. The fantastically choreographed dance presentation ‘Save Earth’ was a bid to create awareness about the importance of saving the Earth. The choir performances by the senior students met with a thunderous applause from the audience. The students presented their warrior spirit in Taekwondo performance with vigour and energy. The graceful yoga performance by the senior students highlighting the importance of maintaining balance in life was appreciated by all. The parents greatly appreciated the painstaking efforts put in by the students and the faculty into ‘Radiance 2016’. They appreciated the fact that each student was given a chance to perform on the stage and also that every act presented was enriched with values and was a treat to the eyes as well.
