The highlight of the event had been the live painting workshops by the renowned artists of the region. Students interacted with the artists and learnt the fine nuances to give creative expression to their ideas. In the evening, an interactive session with the artists was organized on the topic ‘Art- A journey from Mundane to Divine’ which was the perfect climax to an eventful day.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Principal Mrs. Santosh Bhandari said , “We at theSKYworldschool firmly believe that art is a natural means of communication & learning for children and so it is important for them to look at and respond to a piece of work by artists and their illustrations.” Sh Ajay Singhal, Director Kala Parishad added, “The motive behind this competition was to encourage the young artists from various schools to showcase their talent and depict the culture and heritage through their artwork. We are very happy to see the response of this competition.”
On the second day of the event, an Interschool Rangoli competition was organized on the theme ‘Indian Values and Heritage.’ The aim of the competition was to offer an insight of the Indian culture and traditions to the school children. Ten schools from Panchkula participated in the Rangoli competition. A workshop on the art of rangoli making was also organized. Prize distribution ceremony was held in the evening. The chief guest on the occasion Mrs. Latika Sharma ,M.L.A (Kalka), President, National Woman Wing BJP awarded prizes and mementoes to the winners. She applauded the efforts of the school for putting forth commendable efforts to promote Indian culture through the medium of art.
